Collaborations

In its efforts to bridge the medical knowledge gap between developed and developing nations, GMK collaborates with the following institutions and organizations:
University of Malawi - College of Medicine - Blantyre, Malawi

Founded in 1991, Malawi COM is the only medical school in Malawi, producing graduates who serve as health care providers, researchers and policy makers within Malawi and a number of neighboring countries.

Students and faculty of Malawi COM have provided vital information about their technological capabilities and resource needs, helping to demonstrate the utility of e-learning resources in Malawi and how such information might be delivered to a developing nation in a cost effective and implementable manner.

University of Pennsylvania - Wharton International Volunteers Program (WIVP)

WIVP is a non-profit student-run organization which sends students to work on development projects overseas where their aid is most needed.

WIVP consulted with GMK and performed a technology needs assessment at Malawi COM in the summer of 2008.

Harvard Business School Volunteer Consulting Organization (VCO)

VCO provides Boston-area non-profit social service organizations with affordable business consultations

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Division of Clinical Informatics (DCI)
